A little sister for Kailtin

Kaitlin is over the moon to have a new sister.  She wants to be with mommy and Libby all the time and wants Jo to stay with Daddy.  She reads to her, helps give her a bottle and change her diaper.  When she can't help out (such as when mom is nursing) she does exactly as mommy does with her stuffed animals.  Here is Katie and her little sister on Day 3.

Libby has arrived

Elizabeth Casey Rue made her way into this world at 12:39pm on October 27th.  She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and measured 19 1/2 inches long.  Many more photos to follow but here is a quick one to tide you all over.  Libby and Daddy on Day 1.

Eviction Day tomorrow...10/27

Libby will be gracing us with her presence sometime tomorrow.  Stay tuned for her first pics!  (PS...I hate pictures of me, especially when I'm pregnant but I let Casey talk me into one with my ginormous belly).

Carving Punkums

So my wonderful husband humored my mommy heart and carved pumpkins (punkums according to K) with the kiddos.  They weren't all that interested in what he was doing but enjoyed playing out front while daddy did all the work.

Ahhh October

...you're finally here!  Many of you know I have been on house arrest since mid-Sept. when a mild pregnancy related seizure sidelined me.  We are surviving thanks to our wonderful family and friends.  The last month and a half of preparations are getting done in pieces slowly but surely.  We added another bedroom to our house so each of the kids will have their own bedroom upstairs!  Casey has taken over many new responsibilities at work so he has been burning the midnight oil helping to get everything ready for Libby, taking care of the kids and I, and making sure that Marketplace keeps on going.  We are ready for Baby Libby to arrive so we can get back into some kind of routine.  Not too much longer.  I am scheduled to be induced Oct. 27th if she doesn't arrive sooner (please child, arrive sooner)!!!  Here is a quick shot of Jonah from the pumpkin patch.  I wish I could get some of the two of them together but chasing two kids around in the hot sun is not an option right now.

There will be much more to come in the days and weeks ahead so stay tuned!

Kaitlin

also started school in Sept.  She goes MWF afternoons from 12:15 - 3pm.  She loves it.  Her teacher is wonderful and Kaitlin adores her.  She jumps out of the car without hesitation and comes home every afternoon with new stories and songs.

September

included a trip to Irvine Park with Cousin Connor and Jonah's 1st pony ride.

In August

we went to San Diego with Grams.  We visited the San Diego Zoo and Sea World.

In July...

we visited the fire station.

I'm back...I think

I haven't been very good about keeping this blog up to date but with a 3rd Little Rue expected any day now I thought I should clean it up and get going again.  I fixed all the images that said they were not able to be viewed so you should be able to see everything.  I am also goin
g to do a run down of what we have been up to since I last posted (um, yeah May 31st is correct).

In June we went for a stroll around Balboa Island...
